OUR MISSION
The Brookfield Library Foundation is committed to raising funds for a new library in Brookfield.
It’s Time to Invest in a New Library
The Brookfield Library opened its 9,600 square foot library in 1975 at the current location. The building was designed to accommodate a collection of 35,000 items. Today’s collection of 65,000 means that the building is bursting at the seams and can no longer meet the demand for seating, work, study and quiet space, additional technology, and community meeting space. The library hasn’t been modernized, or expanded in 46 years despite significant increases in the Town’s population and library use. It’s time to invest in a new library.
The Brookfield Library is the center of community life, education, entertainment, enrichment, and information for the entire community.
Brookfielders of all ages are welcome at the library and will find a variety of books, media and programs of interest.
